YCSC helps schools create calmer, more connected classrooms and communities through evidence-based mindfulness practices that empower teachers and students with the tools to self-regulate and prioritize their mental health and well-being.
Our goal is not to add another initiative to educators’ plates, but to help them weave mindful practices into what they already do to strengthen teacher well-being, improve student focus, and build sustainable school cultures where calm, compassion, and community are the norm, not the exception.
Hi, I’m Emily,
I believe that mindful practices are one of few ways in which society can create more opportunities for children to thrive in education and in life.
Through my extensive experience as a classroom teacher and in-school yoga and mindfulness facilitator, I offer more than ten years of classroom teaching experience and hands-on practice working with K-12 students and staff both in-person and virtually.
